- Use the privacy request form (choose "A complaint") or email the Grievance Officer. Tell us who you are, what happened, the business or account concerned, and what you would like us to do. Screenshots help.
- We acknowledge your complaint within 24 hours and give you a ticket number.
- We resolve it within 15 days and tell you what we did and why. For complaints asking us to remove content that exposes a person's private body, impersonates them or shows them in a sexual act, we act within 24 hours.
- If we need more time for a complex case (never beyond the limits set by law), we tell you why and when to expect an answer.
If you are not satisfied
- Personal data: you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India once you have used our grievance process (DPDP Act s.13). People in the EU or UK can also complain to their data protection authority.
- Content decisions: you can appeal to the Grievance Appellate Committee under the IT Rules 2021 within 30 days of our decision.
- Consumer complaints: the National Consumer Helpline (1915) and the consumer commissions.
