Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: 27 October 2026
This policy is part of the Terms of Service. It protects the people who receive messages, our customers and RapiTalk's standing with messaging platforms.
Messaging
- Message only people who contacted you or agreed to hear from you. Do not buy, rent or scrape contact lists.
- Make it easy to stop: honour STOP and similar replies, and do not message opted-out people again.
- Follow each platform's rules (Meta Platform Terms, WhatsApp Business and Commerce Policies and 24-hour window, Telegram terms) and India's TRAI rules for SMS (DLT registration, templates, sending hours).
- Do not hide who you are or mislead people about who is writing; keep AI disclosure on where the law requires it.
- No bulk or unsolicited marketing that breaks the law where your recipients live.
Content you must not send or store
You must not use RapiTalk to host, display, upload, publish, transmit or share anything that:
- belongs to someone else and you have no right to; infringes a patent, trademark, copyright or other proprietary right;
- is obscene, pornographic, paedophilic, invasive of another's privacy (including bodily privacy), insulting or harassing on the basis of gender, racially or ethnically objectionable, or relates to or encourages money laundering or gambling;
- is harmful to children;
- deceives or misleads about its origin, or knowingly communicates false or misleading information, including fake news or deepfakes meant to mislead;
- impersonates another person or business;
- threatens the unity, integrity, defence, security or sovereignty of India, friendly relations with other countries or public order, incites an offence or prevents investigation of an offence;
- contains software viruses or other code designed to interrupt, destroy or limit any computer resource;
- is fraud, phishing, a scam, a pyramid scheme, illegal lending or financial promotion, or sells illegal goods or services (drugs, weapons, counterfeit goods);
- violates any law in force.
Using the service
- Do not try to break, overload, scan, probe or bypass the security or limits of RapiTalk, or access another customer's data.
- Do not copy, resell, or reverse-engineer RapiTalk, or use it to build a competing product.
- Do not share accounts or create accounts to avoid limits, suspensions or payment.
- Use the API and webhooks within your plan's limits; do not use the HTTP request step to attack or scrape other systems.
What happens if this policy is broken
We may remove content, pause automations or campaigns (RapiTalk also pauses campaigns automatically when many messages fail or many people opt out), limit features, or suspend or close the account. Where reasonable we warn you first. We report illegal content to the authorities when the law requires and preserve related information as the law requires.
Report abuse
If you received unwanted messages through a business that uses RapiTalk, reply STOP to that business and write to support@rapitalk.com with the business name, the channel and a screenshot. See also Grievance Redressal.
